These have been used to conduct three studies, with a fourth underway, and have generated rich data about team interaction with AI advisors. Most of the products of ASIST, including the testbed, are available as open-source software. Continuing efforts seek to expand and generalize the testbed for use by the research community to address additional research questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this half-day tutorial, Aptima and Arizona State University will present an overview of the ASIST program and its outputs, provide hands-on experience with the current ASIST study, and guide discussion with tutorial participants to work through potential applications for their research questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For additional information about ASIST, including links to data and open-source code repositories, please visit <a href=\"https:\/\/artificialsocialintelligence.org\">https:\/\/artificialsocialintelligence.org<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also encourage CogSIMA attendees to participate in our current ongoing study, which takes the form of a competition and will extend through the end of October. Participation is open to anyone in the United States over 18 years old. Prizes will be awarded for high performing teams each week. Information about participation can be found at the competition website: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialai.games\/\">https:\/\/www.socialai.games\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a>Goals<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Through this tutorial, participants will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Understand the capabilities of the ASIST testbed<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Experience the current study<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Identify how the data, agents, and testbed, may be useful for their own human-machine teaming research<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Work with testbed developers to understand the level of effort to tailor the testbed to their needs<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a>Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Room with tables (Provided by the conference)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Participants will use personal laptops for hands-on experience with the testbed and should bring a mouse for playing Minecraft.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Participants will also need a Minecraft (JAVA version) license ($30) for hands-on experience.
